Almond Pops by 180 Snacks

image1

When people ask what my hobbies are, snacking is pretty high up on the list, right after drinking outdoors and painting my nails. I found these Almond Pops randomly at the checkout at TJ Maxx and just tossed them into the cart without really thinking about it. I had already opened them by the time I got into the car and I could not stop eating them. After buying that original bag, I couldn’t find them anywhere! I’ve kept an eye out for them for about a year and even had my mom looking for them too, I’ve never seen them in grocery stores and they are expensive online so when I came across them the other day at Marshall’s, I bought every bag they had. They come in two flavors (that I’ve seen and tried): Blueberry and Mango. Both are crunchy, delicious clusters of puffed rice, almonds and dried fruit. They’re a healthier alternative than your typical vending machine snacks and help me get through that 3pm slump.

Pomelo & Sea Salt Soy Candle

I have a little bit of an issue with candles; I buy them all. This candle comes from Anthropologie and smells bright, fresh and citrusy. It burns slowly and the scent is not overpowering so I can keep it burning for as long as I like. I had a hard time deciding which one to get and stood there smelling them all over and over. All of the scents come in adorable tins which could easily be repurposed as some Pinterest shit, like for growing herbs or an adorable pen cup.

Marble Open Ended Bracelet

I’ve been seeing these open ended bracelets everywhere, but when saw this one that has marble-looking details, I had to have it. I was shopping down in Fells Point on a sunny Saturday and was on my way out of Poppy and Stella when I noticed their bracelet display. It seems like me and everyone I know has gotten into white marble these days, I’ve seen it everywhere from fashion to decor. I find myself putting this bracelet on no matter what I’m wearing, it seems to go with everything.

Essie Good-To-Go Top Coat

I paint my nails about once a week and own approximately sixty-five nail polishes so I have gone through my fair share of trial and error on the best nail products. I find nothing more frustrating than taking the time to paint my nails and then rushing the drying process and smudging them immediately. I have to walk around all week staring at my smudged nail and being irritated so when a friend swore by Essie’s Good To Go top coat, I was willing to try anything. It’s a little on the pricer side at $8.50, but it’s worth every penny in my opinion. The top coat isn’t too thin or too thick and dries so quickly! I can paint my nails (base coat, 2x color and top coat) and they are dry enough for me to be able to dig around in my purse for my keys within 5 minutes. I no longer have to walk around with my hands up, fingers spread wide in the universal “I just did my nails” pose. I think that my nails look extremely shiny and stay that way all week and chip less than with other top coats I have used.

Tazo Iced Blushberry Black Tea

Now that the weather is warmer, I drink almost exclusively La Croix and iced tea. I started brewing my own tea about two years ago and prefer it to store bought because I can sweeten it myself. I’ve also realized that not all hot teas make good iced teas. I have multiple, that when brewed and then chilled, just don’t taste right. I typically use loose leaf, but this blushberry black tea bag by Tazo is a great alternative when I’m feeling super lazy; one bag + hot water and you’re done! It has the depth of flavor you expect from black tea with a fruity finish that doesn’t come off tasting “flavored”. I usually sweeten mine while it is still hot with honey or raw sugar, once it’s cold it is impossible to get anything to dissolve correctly.

Inside Amy Schumer

400x400-75

I’ve pretty much watched all of the most current season in the time it took me to write this blog. The episodes are short and, like Netflix, the Comedy Central website just starts the next episode when you finished the last one. I didn’t love the movie Trainwreck, but I find Amy Shumer’s show to be very clever in a ridiculous but relevant way. Most of the bits are commentary on issues that are trending right now like the gender wage gap, gun control and stereotyping. Pretty much, I just think Amy is cool and I want to hang out with her, but binging her show is the next best thing.

I'm probably drunk right now.

You could have told me about the Essie top coat, or given it to me for Mother’s Day. I have to find out by reading your blog ?

Hey there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a
tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.

The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most
blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had
    to ask!
